Established in 2014, the all-volunteer organization is an outgrowth of the Disaster Relief Committee of the Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church in Pass Christian. GFM prepares, serves and delivers between 250 and 300 free, hot, nutritious meals each Monday and Wednesday to those in need in the Pass Christian Community. The program has been in place since 2006.

OUR NEED
In recent years, GFM has gone from creating, serving and delivering on average about 220 persons each Wednesday to almost 300 each Monday and Wednesday, either from the church dining hall or by delivered meals. Some Wednesdays we have served more than 350 meals,Five years ago, the average cost per meal was around $2.00; that cost has risen to $2.75. The difference is significant. We do the best we can to get donations from grants as well as individuals and food banks. The work is constant. This is a totally volunteer organization which means that every cent donated goes directly toward helping those in need in our small community.OUR NEED

Due to regular wear and tear, we are in need of:
New Shed - A new shed would cost about $5,000.
New Refrigerator – A new commercial grade refrigerator would cost around $3,500.
These prices include taxes and installation costs.
WHAT YOUR DONATION PROVIDES

Donations in any amount are appreciated, but here are some guidelines:
$50 pays for six gallons of string beans
$175 pays for enough paper plates for two meals
$225 pays for about 75 meals (We are currently averaging about 350 each Wednesday.)
Any other donations above that and you will be our next new very best friend!
